The Federation was created in 1948 and today consists of 114 magic societies, both national and international, as well as national Federations which represent over 80,000 magicians from 51 countries.

To Lead
FISM serves as a leading platform, bringing together magic societies from around the world. It is committed to enhancing, promoting, and developing the Art of Magic.
To Preserve
FISM is dedicated to preserving the history of magic while fostering innovation. It works to elevate and promote magic as an art form, ensuring its continuous evolution.
To Coordinate
FISM coordinates activities among Member Societies, enhancing their authority and encouraging collaboration. It fosters reciprocal cooperation and shared services to strengthen the magic community.
To Protect
FISM fights against exposure and unauthorized copies of acts, effects, inventions, and routines. It also organizes global events like the FISM World Championship of Magic and supervises Continental Championships.
What Kind of Federation Do We aim?

FISM’s aims are:
• to be a leading platform, unifying magic societies from all over the world, committed to the enhancement, promotion and development of the Art of Magic;
• to develop, elevate, promote the art of magic and to preserve the knowledge of the history of magic;
• to coordinate the activities of Member Societies, enhancing their authority and encouraging the exchange of reciprocal cooperation and services
• to fight against exposure and copies of acts, effects or inventions, presentations or original routines
• to organise international events such as the FISM World Championship of Magic and supervise Continental Championships of Magic.
