FISM™ greets you with the coming winter holidays and wish you happy festive season and a magical New Year! In this Holiday edition of Newsletter 4 we are happy to announce that the FISM™ newsletter is now available in Japanese as well. Thanks to Sats Yamamoto for his kind assistance and help in translating the newsletter. To access the Japanese version simply click on the Japanese flag located on the top right hand corner of the newsletter. In this newsletter you will also find information on the first FISM™ Asian Championships of Magic™ and the broadcasting results from the World Championships of Magic™ 2006 TV Show. The WCM06 DVD now out in a special collector's edition!
Your DVD is now out for Xmas in a special edition that includes an amazing screensaver with exclusive pictures from Zakary Belamy. Magicians affiliated to FISM™ member clubs can benefit from a special 10 Euro discount off the retail price. To get your DVD with the discount, you need to register first on www.fismstore.com providing your name, club and membership number. The DVD is in English with the main 90’ show also available with subtitles in German, French, Spanish and Japanese.

The first ever FISM™ Asian Championships of Magic™ in Korea in 2008 ! A General Assembly of FISM™ Asia held on the 4 November 2007 led to the decision to have the first FISM™ Asian Championships of Magic in Korea, 2008 (FISM™ ACM2008). The event will be organised by Mrs. Eun-Sun Chung, President of the Organizing Committee and of the Korean Magic Society, with the close collaboration with Mr. Juno Kim, President of the Alexander Magic Family and Vice-President of the Organizing Committee. The host city will be announced at a later stage.

The WCM 2006 TV Show has reached millions of viewers worldwide! One of FISM™ main goals is to bring magic closer to the laymen and open up the World Championships of Magic™ to the general public. The production of a TV show to be broadcasted worldwide was a key element of this strategy. The first World Championships of Magic™ produced for such a purpose was well received by broadcasters, proving that magic is a popular family entertainment programme. Although sales of it have not (yet) exceeded the production costs, the TV show, available to TV channels in both 60' and 90' minutes, has already been broadcasted in 64 countries worldwide, reaching millions of TV viewers.

Photographs from past FISM™ conventions now Online ! As announced in the Newsletter 3, photographs from the FISM™ World Championships of Magic™ 2003 in Den Haag are now available on-line on www.fismphoto.com. The photography collection is from the well-known magic photographer Wittus Witt. And on-line soon 1968 to 2000! Jean Garance, amateur photographer and loyal participant to FISM™ conventions for many years will enrich the FISM™ pictures' databank of www.fismphoto.com with his own personal collection. If you see missing conventions or have great pictures you want to share with everybody, simply contact us. For the 60th anniversary of FISM™ we are seeking for new pictures to illustrate 60 years of FISM™ from 1948 to 2008. Contact Alexis at alexis@tlagency.com.
